2022 Annual Meeting advance registration opens March 22

2022 membership deadline extended to April 1

As part of the ongoing effort to support MDRT members, prospective members and the companies that support them, MDRT will extend the membership application deadline for the 2022 Round Table to April 1, 2022.

The deadline extension is a continuation of MDRT’s Productivity Action Plan and MDRT’s goal to be flexible and responsive to the challenges we all are facing due to the ongoing effect of COVID-19.

The impact of the pandemic varies across the globe and the deadline extension gives all members equal and ample opportunity to complete the membership application process without penalty. The 2022 production requirements remain unchanged.

2022 Membership deadline is March 1

Don’t forget, 2022 MDRT membership is open! Advisors should submit their application on or before March 1 to avoid a USD 200 late fee.

As well as access to educational resources and members-only meetings, MDRT helps its members grow professionally and personally by creating opportunities to make one-on-one connections and promoting personal growth.

MDRT Academy & MDRT Mentoring: How it affects your advisors

Beginning January 1, 2022, the MDRT Academy and MDRT Mentoring Program have joined forces. As one unified offering, learn how your MDRT-aspiring advisors can join or how this program update affects those already enrolled in the Mentoring Program.

When can mentees apply to the MDRT Academy?

Mentees can apply to become 2022 MDRT Academy members starting Nov. 1, 2021. The application can be accessed and completed at mdrtacademy.org. Membership is annual and runs through Dec. 31.

How can MDRT Academy members participate in the mentoring program?

Academy members can complete an application in the MDRT mentoring platform, where mentoring relationships are facilitated. Current 2021 MDRT Academy members can fill out an application today.

  • JOINED BEFORE JUNE 30, 2021 AND HAVE A MENTOR: You will be able to continue your mentoring relationship — as is — through the original 12-month mentoring timeframe. After that, you will need to become a member of the MDRT Academy to continue participating in the MDRT Mentoring Program.
  • JOINED AFTER JUNE 30, 2021 AND HAVE A MENTOR: You will need to become a member of the MDRT Academy by Jan. 1, 2022, to continue participating in the MDRT Mentoring Program.
  • JOINED IN 2021 AND DO NOT YET HAVE A MENTOR: You will need to become a member of the MDRT Academy by Jan. 1, 2022, to continue participating in the MDRT Mentoring Program.

Current Mentors

You do not need to change the way you have been operating. Continue to connect with and help your mentee(s) through the MDRT mentoring platform. Please encourage your current mentee(s) to join the MDRT Academy to continue participating in the MDRT Mentoring Program in 2022.

2022 MDRT Membership is open November 1

More than ever, financial advisors need the tools and community MDRT offers to get through the hurdles of the profession. Via robust educational resources and dynamic members-only meetings, our global membership of industry leaders is here to share the practical tips and success strategies to support your advisors to aim higher and achieve more, especially in the current climate.

The 2022 production requirements have been adjusted based on the effects of the pandemic. All financial services professionals who apply for 2022 membership must meet the 2022 MDRT production requirements.  

MDRT is fiscally sound in this economy and has no plans to increase dues in 2022. Dues will remain at USD 550.  

The MDRT Focus on Resources website is a hub full of relevant, top-notch content to help MDRT members and general agents/agency managers better serve their clients.

As one unified offering, they are able to better deliver on that mission by creating a more comprehensive and meaningful experience for MDRT-aspiring advisors.

  • Where: This change will affect mentees in regions where the MDRT Academy is currently available. In 2023, this change will start taking place in additional regions.
  • When: Starting Jan. 1, 2022, mentees need to be members of the MDRT Academy to participate in the MDRT Mentoring Program.
  • How Mentees can apply: Mentees can apply to become 2022 MDRT Academy members starting Nov. 1, 2021. The application can be accessed and completed at mdrtacademy.org. Membership is annual and runs through Dec. 31.
  • Current Mentors don’t need to change the way they have currently been operated within the program.

MDRT Special Book Club Event – September 20

On April 10, 2012, United States Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills was critically injured by an IED while on patrol on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan, losing portions of both legs and both arms. Mills struggled through the painful and anxious days of rehabilitation to regain the strength to live his life to the fullest. With enormous willpower and endurance, the unconditional love of his family, and a generous amount of faith, Mills shocked everyone with his remarkable recovery. His extraordinary journey is recounted in “Tough As They Come,” a New York Times bestseller that speaks to facing a future that’s drastically different from the one you’ve imagined.

The discussion will be moderated by Ryan J. Pinney, LACP, a 13-year MDRT member and Top of the Table qualifier who served in three different branches of the United States military over the course of 13 years. There will be a live Q&A session after the presentation. To get the most out of the time with Mills, members must read the book prior to the event and come with questions to ask the author.
