We’re also thrilled to broaden the Top of the Table meeting experience this year. For the first time ever, 2020 Court of the Table members will be able to attend a portion of the Top of the Table event on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, from 8 am to 1 pm, for a special registration price.

July 20 Web Event – How MDRT Members Refine, Differentiate and Grow

Join MDRT members Elke Rubach, LLN, CLU; Kathleen R. Benjamin, CFP, CPA; and Marc A. Silverman, CFP, ChFC, for a panel discussion about how MDRT helps members refine their practices, no matter how many years of membership they have under their belts. The panelists will share advice they’ve received that helped them advance their careers. They’ll also discuss the importance of having a vision and being able to identify the unique deliverables they each offer, as well as the need for organization and appointment tracking, asking for support and working within a team. These early-stage, mid-career and longtime MDRT members will discuss what it took to get to their current level, what they are doing to stay there and where they see things continuing to evolve in the future.

The discussion will be moderated by seven-year MDRT member and Canada Community Leader Chris George, CFP, TEP. There will be time for a live Q&A session after the presentation.

What Attendees Can Experience During the MDRT Virtual Event

At a time when the world is experiencing change and some regions are regaining momentum while others are still facing health and economic slides, MDRT has found a way to deliver an event with more access than a typical Annual Meeting or Global Conference. Event Overview

  • On the event website, you can see a schedule with session times built to start with your business day in your region of the world.
  • Over 200 Sessions with more content than ever before, translated into 13 languages.
  • Register as soon as possible. For the best experience, register 1-2 weeks prior to the event. To connect with other members who are tuned into the event at the same time as you, you will need to register early and then complete your member profile.
  • There are no “out of office” limitations, no travel restrictions, or travel costs.
  • Take everything you learn and put it into action right now! No need to wait until you travel back to the office, the productivity starts right after the session.
  • You get a month’s worth of Annual Meeting and Global Conference learning and connections.
  • MDRT Members get a week of shared MDRT experience from your office AND 3 more weeks of sessions On-Demand as you need them for a one-time-only ticket price of $149.

Members Connecting

  • At any time, members can chat with fellow attendees through the platform.
  • Gain insights by discussing ideas among fellow attendees during live sessions. Use group messages to spark conversations throughout the event.
  • Use the Build Your Network matching service. Based on responses to questions asked during registration, members will be specifically matched with fellow members who share similar interests and, during the virtual event, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with these members through video chat or online discussions.
  • Attendees can start interacting when the platform is launched and it will be active for 30 days after the launch of the event.

WEBINAR: Generating quality introductions from centers of influence

Longtime MDRT members Paresh B. Shah, CFP, and Aurora L. Tancock, FLMI, CFP, will discuss strategies for connecting with centers of influence in order to create an increasing flow of quality introductions. Building relationships with centers of influence is an important part of growing a practice, but there’s no single way to do it, as evidenced by Shah and Tancock’s distinct experiences.

The discussion will be moderated by 40-year MDRT member and United States Community Leader R.J. Kelly, RICP, MSFS. There will be time for a live Q&A session after the presentation.

2020 Annual Meeting+Global Conference Registration Opening

Connect and engage during the 2020 Annual Meeting and Global Conference Virtual Event, from August 3-7, 2020.

This virtual event will:

  • Connect members from around the world, allowing you to access the vast knowledge and experience within MDRT’s professional community directly in your home or office

Can a Mentee Register for 2020 MDRT Meetings?

We have made the decision to conduct the 2020 MDRT Annual Meeting and 2020 MDRT Global Conference as one virtual event. MDRT will not be hosting a physical meeting in Anaheim or Dubai. Members will be given priority for registration for 2020 MDRT Virtual Event. If you have advisors who are mentees, they will be able to register after member registration, provided there is still availability; please note that seats are not guaranteed and recent meetings have sold out.

All mentees who are currently enrolled in the program, will be able to register for the virtual meeting this year, with no production requirement threshold.

Mentees will be eligible to register for this meeting, space permitting, if three criteria are met:

  • You are enrolled in the Mentoring Program by March 1, 2020.
  • Your mentor is approved for current MDRT membership and has registered to attend the Global Conference.
  • You have achieved at least 50 percent of the MDRT membership production requirement (USD 48,500 in commissions or USD 97,000 in premiums). You may attend a second time a mentee if you achieve 75 percent of the MDRT production requirement (USD 72,750 in commissions or USD 145,500 in premiums). 2019 production must be reported and all certifying letters received and verified by March 1, 2020.

After the member registration period, if all criteria have been met, the mentee will receive an “Approved to Register” email by March 31, which will contain instructions and links for registration. Payment is due at the time of registration.

If a mentee has previously attended the meeting as an MDRT member, they may not attend as a mentee.

Can Agency Managers Attend the 2020 Virtual Event?

The 2020 MDRT Annual Meeting and Global Conference are joining to become one Virtual Event, 3-7 August. Show your advisors you support their success by joining and connecting with them at the 2020 Virtual Event.

HOW IT WORKS
Five (5) MDRT members from one agency must be registered. Once 5 MDRT Member names, who are already registered, are entered into your profile a registration link will be provided.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

  • Frontline or second/middle-line managers
  • Heads of traditional or multi-line agencies/firms
  • Sales or unit managers
  • General agents
  • OSJs
  • Managing Partners
  • Applicants must personally supervise full-time career agents, advisors or sales representatives in an agency or firm.

2020 MDRT Virtual Event

MDRT has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 global situation, and for the well-being of all members, we have made the decision to conduct the 2020 MDRT Annual Meeting and 2020 MDRT Global Conference as one virtual event. MDRT will not be hosting a physical meeting in Anaheim or Dubai.

MDRT wants all our members to be successful in all aspects of their professional lives. From that standpoint, we are excited for the opportunity to leverage technology for this experience in a way that is not limited by travel.
