How clients feel about their advisor’s use of AI

March 5, 2025 by emeyer

MDRT has conducted a new survey to gain insights into clients’ expectations when it comes to their advisors use of AI. Here are a few key insights:

  • 70.8% of U.S. consumers who have a financial advisor believe advisors should use AI for at least one professional purpose—compared with 53.4% of those without an advisor.
  • Men—both with and without advisors—are significantly more comfortable with advisors AI use than women.
  • Clients are most comfortable with AI being used for smaller, supportive tasks, rather than core relationship or planning functions.

MDRT members have access to the full report and can share it with your team. Whether you’re just starting to explore AI or are already integrating it into your operations, this research can help your team of advisors better understand market trends and align with client expectations.
